Got a call earlier with some fancy sounding recorded message about issues with my router. It was proper posh English, trying to get me to press a button - not daft enough for that. Then had another one from someone with a foreign accent pretending to be from BT Openreach, said he wanted to fix a problem. Played along for a bit then told him the real problem was him just trying to get my personal info. Told him to jog on with some choice words. Wish these scams would just stop - those recorded messages might fool more vunerable folks.

I got a recorded call from a number 01252940233 saying it was TalkTalk. It said there were problems with my IP address and told me to press 1. Sounded like one of those scams to me.

Got a recorded call from TalkTalk about my router having some updates, asking me to press 1 to chat with their engineer. What’s weird is I’m already having issues and expecting a call from an Openreach engineer. Suspicious much, so I blocked the number straight away.

got calls like 5 times today, defo a scam. no real talktalk voice, just automated stuff. earlier calls sounded like a person but were prob fake mobile numbers too. stay clear!
