I got a call from someone saying they were from Citizens Advice, telling me I supposedly had a debt under my old surname. I told them straight up I didn’t owe anything, and asked to talk to their supervisor. I even mentioned I’d have to report it to the police if they kept going. They quickly ended the call after that.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent, saying they wanted to confirm my Covid jab. Since I can check my vaccination status myself easily through the NHS app and my GP records, I knew straight away this was dodgy. I just ended the call. Honestly, I’d recommend blocking this number. Also, I’ve noticed most calls like this come from people with Indian accents - every time it’s been a scam in my experience. From what I’ve seen on YouTube videos about hacking, lots of these scams seem to come from a couple of cities in India. So just be careful if you get a similar call.
