Some bloke called me claiming to be Steve Wilson from Microsoft’s tech support. He wanted me to get on my computer, but honestly, I’d had enough of him by then. His voice was all tinny, like he was speaking through a can or something. I told him straight up that he was a scammer and didn’t hold back telling him off pretty loudly before hanging up. He was still going on, but I just ended the call.

For sure, total scam. The bloke was asking for me by name and mentioned Microsoft - sounded really dodgy.

Got a call from a guy with a really obvious foreign accent who said his name was Andy. You could hear loads of people chatting and phones ringing in the background like he was in some call centre. He told me he was from tech support and there was an issue with my computer. I cut him off pretty quick, told him I don’t even own a computer and called him out as a scammer. He just ended the call right then.

Received a call where the person addressed me by my name. They mentioned something regarding updates for Microsoft and insisted I should hop on my computer. I ended up putting the phone down on the side table and returned about five minutes later. Definitely a scam! Yet it was a bit disconcerting how they knew my name!

Just got a call from 01252859726, some bloke named James claiming to be from tech support. When I said the only virus I'd got was the muppet talking to me, he didn't seem too chuffed and quickly ended the call. Quite funny, actually!
