A few times in the last six months, I've had calls from someone saying they were from TalkTalk, telling me there was a problem with my computer. They wanted me to log in and do what they said. It's happened more than once and seems a bit dodgy to me.

I've had some calls from someone saying they're with TalkTalk about my internet. They've been pretty pushy and I've picked up about five calls in the past couple of weeks. The number showing on my phone seems like a local one but it's missing a digit from a regular phone number.

They were from talk talk, definitely a scam. I said I was reporting them and then they just hung up. Sounds like they were trying to hack into computers or something dodgy like that.

The line suddenly went dead after they stopped talking, and when I tried calling back, there was no answer. I’m pretty sure it was one of those annoying coded calls again.

I've gotten calls from this number a few times now, but whenever I pick up, there's just silence and then they hang up. It's happened quite a few times. Also, some callers have pretended to be from Microsoft or Windows, but their numbers never show up. Since I'm registered with the TPS, I believe this is just a cold call, and I’m planning to report it. The number is 01252855888.

They've rung me a few times pretending to be TalkTalk, but when I asked them questions, they just ended the call. I spoke with TalkTalk and they said they don’t make calls like that anymore because of all the scams after their system got hacked.

Got a call where no one said a word for like 10 seconds, then a guy with an accent said he was from TalkTalk. He told me they got alerts when I logged into my PC. When I asked what the alerts were about, he said someone was trying to hack me. I just said thanks and ended the call. About 10 minutes later, the same number rang again. I picked up and could hear people chatting in the background, then the line just went dead. They've been phoning me loads over the past week.

Had this dodgy call where some bloke with a funny accent said he was from Windows and that my computer was all messed up. I just kept the phone off the hook and waited for them to lose interest and give up. Classic scam attempt.

Got a call from this number roughly an hour back, and the person said they were from TalkTalk tech support. They wanted me to open the command prompt on my PC, but when I told them I don't use a Windows machine, they just hung up suddenly. I rang TalkTalk straight away and found out the call definitely wasn't from their team.

Cheers, Dave. I won't be responding to this-getting calls from you twice daily is rather excessive!

I received a call claiming, "We're calling from Microsoft, and there's an issue with your computer." Sounds like a classic scam to me!
