Called me but hung up as soon as my answerphone picked up.

I received a call earlier today from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from Virgin Media. I was quite certain he wasn’t who he said he was. When I questioned him, he seemed puzzled and asked what I was getting at. I pointed out that Virgin Media never contacts customers from numbers starting with 01252. He insisted it wasn't a landline, but I didn't buy it and decided to end the conversation by hanging up.

Got a call supposedly about my BT internet, but it was clearly a scam. The person hung up on me themselves - I reckon it’s a trick to make you ring back and maybe get stuck with expensive charges. Definitely don’t return calls from these dodgy numbers!
