somebody rang me pretending to be from virgin media saying there was an issue with my internet. but ive never even had virgin internet before. when i told them this they called me a liar! then they asked who lives here using it, i told them they didnt even know my name. then the voice said its mary simmonds, which is totally wrong. annoyed, i just hung up.

This caller claimed it was BT Internet but definitely sounded like a total scam to me.

Got a call from some supposed BT people, but it was obviously an Indian call centre. After going back and forth for about 12 minutes proving he was fibbing, the guy just hung up on me, muttering something like "damn bastard people". Totally unprofessional!

I got a call from someone with an Indian or Pakistani accent, their English was really bad. They said they were from Microsoft and told me there was strange stuff happening on my computer or my IP address. I told him to quit lying and stop bothering me because I knew it was rubbish. I also told him I was gonna report him to the police.
