Just had this dodgy call claiming my IP was out there for anyone to see, trying to get into my computer. Got way too many of these, so I threw a random #### alarm noise down the line and it didn’t go down too well with them at all. Proper sick of these scam calls now.

I received a rather peculiar phone call; the person on the other end addressed me by my name, despite my insistence that I was a different individual. It felt rather intrusive, as if he was trying to deduce the type of router I had based on the number of lights flickering away. When I confronted him about the distinct possibility that this was just a con, he stooped to calling me ugly, which, I admit, might not have been the most dignified response on my part. But honestly, if their intentions were sincere, why would they resort to name-calling? I can’t help but wonder if they’ve had a peek at my Facebook profile! Haha! Please, everyone, take care and remain vigilant!

Didn’t pick up the phone since I had no idea who was ringing. It went straight to voicemail, and I could hear a bunch of noisy chatter like from a call centre, with words all jumbled up. Somebody phoned saying they were from Microsoft, but it’s a total SCAM. Definitely block the number and report it straight away. What’s ridiculous is thinking Microsoft would actually ring customers about any problems - they don’t even maintain a consumer helpline anymore, only one for businesses. Instead, they make you slog through endless chat bots that never fix anything. Honestly, the idea they’d call you themselves is just laughable.

I keep getting calls from someone called ‘Emily’ saying she’s from BT. She claims my broadband is at risk, even though I haven’t got broadband with them at all. She keeps pushing me to click on a link in an email, which is supposedly a PIN I need to use before they explain how to fix this ‘issue.’ The odd part is that I did get an email hinting that there was a security breach connected to BT, since I used to have an account there. This number keeps phoning me and says they're from Sky, but they never actually prove it or give any real info. It's been happening loads of times now.

They just ring non stop, saying they're from Virgin Media about some internet problem or other. I usually try to keep them on the line as long as possible to waste their time, so hopefully they can't bother anyone more vulnerable.

Got a call from some scammer tryin to talk about issues with my computer Windows or whatever - bit funny since I haven’t touched Windows in over 15 years. When the woman realised I wasn’t falling for it, she got pretty rude. Wish I had more time to mess with them and stop others getting caught out!

My landline rang and a young lady answered after a bit of a pause. She claimed to be from Microsoft but something seemed off. Before she got too far, asking about my computer, I just hung up because it felt like one of those dodgy scam calls. Didn't really trust it, so ended it pretty quickly!

I got a call from a bloke with a strong accent, maybe Indian but I don’t want to jump to conclusions. He said, "Hi, I’m calling from Microsoft today..." and before he could say more, I just hung up. It’s weird that with so many people having to check this number already, the phone company hasn’t done anything about it. Why don’t they report whoever owns this number to the fraud squad? Or just block the number altogether? It’s a bit baffling.

I got a call about broadband fraud, but just hung up straight away. They started cursing, but honestly, don't stress about any of it.

This bloke with an Asian accent rang me claiming to be from BT, my internet company. I asked him nicely to provide my actual BT account number to prove it was legit. Instead, he kept pushing some other code I didn’t want. I told him straight up I only wanted the account number or else he could fess up that he was trying to scam me. After that, he just hung up on me.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from Virgin Media. Normally it's pretty quick to spot these scams, but lately the number showing up on my phone looks like a local one, like 01252 or something, which makes it harder to just ignore. Really don't understand how they manage to use local numbers like that or if it's even legal to do so?

Got a call from a woman with a heavy accent and weird giggling in the back. She kept saying I had some issue with Microsoft! I told her I don’t even own a computer, but she insisted there was one under my name. I joked if it was a funny kind of computer since she was still laughing, but then she told me to get lost, called me some nasty names, and just hung up on me!
