Surely, there are laws in place to combat harassment, aren't there? Shouldn't individuals registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) enjoy some sort of protection from this kind of unwelcome intrusion? It seems only fair.

We've been bombarded with calls from 1252576300. I distinctly recall having a chat with someone in what sounded like a completely made-up language! After about five minutes, the person on the line abruptly hung up. We haven't heard from them again until today. It was a bit of déjà vu; we experienced the same thing, hoping to avoid any further pestering for a few weeks. The trick seems to be: if they get on your nerves, give them a taste of their own medicine! I must admit, the conversations were quite amusing. Haha!

This number was associated with Cap Quest, a firm that deals with debt recovery. They seem to have taken a liking to our landline, calling incessantly. Oddly enough, when we pick up, all we hear is a bizarre mix of buzzing and crackling sounds. We’ve now decided to ignore their calls altogether and simply rely on 1471 to find out who it was.

Absolutely the same! Just turned our phone back on this afternoon, and lo and behold, we've had a couple of rings already. I’m currently overseas, so we’ll be footing the bill for answering those calls.

It seems like I’m not the only one plagued by countless calls from Capquest! It’s quite baffling, really-each time I explain that I’m not the person they're after, it’s as if they simply disregard my words and carry on with their relentless pursuit. Honestly, five calls a day? That’s just excessive! I’d be interested to hear from any aspiring solicitors: what’s the proper way to tackle this nuisance? Is there a chance of taking legal action against them for harassment?

I've been receiving calls from 01252576540 and 01252576507, and I can wholeheartedly relate to what TC mentioned. I'm currently employing a third-party service to help settle my debts since these blokes refuse to budge on the amounts they're demanding. It's utterly ridiculous - they ring me up a minimum of five times a day, relentlessly trying to squeeze more cash from both me and the agency, all for their profit. It’s absolutely appalling behaviour!

My partner recently received a call regarding a neighbour, as these individuals were keeping a parcel for them. It appears to be the same trick again.

I’ve been getting about ten calls a day that I’ve completely missed.

Residing in Cyprus with a local phone number, I’m baffled as to how someone from Capquest managed to obtain my details! Out of sheer curiosity, we decided to ring the number back, considering our family resides in Aldershot (01252). We were under the impression it might be urgent, possibly a call from the hospital or something similar. Unfortunately, that little chase ended up costing us quite a bit, given it was a return call for a missed connection!

I'm absolutely tired of these constant phone calls, which started around mid-December and haven't let up since. Whenever I answer, there's not a soul on the line, just the incessant ringing and one automated message urging me to call back. I did try to return the call, only to be met with yet another recorded message. If there was any money owed, surely they would have sent a letter? We don’t even have a bank account, much less credit or store cards. Our dealings are all in cash, as we steer clear of lenders and creditors. Yet still, it seems there’s no end in sight!

Unfortunately, we do have an outstanding balance with them. We’ve followed the proper procedures, established a repayment plan together, yet do you think they’re satisfied? Absolutely not! They’ll persistently call, pressuring you to up your payments, and when you explain that it’s not feasible, they bombard you with calls-up to a dozen in a single day! They've got around fifteen different numbers, so don’t even waste your time trying to block them. It’s an absolute nightmare-harassment doesn’t even begin to cover it!

It really feels as though these folks have it in for us! It appears that they’re trying to dig up information on the former occupants of our newly acquired residence, and now they’re going after our ex-spouse by way of reaching out to my mother! I've attempted to get in touch with them several times, and even though we've flagged their antics to OFCOM, they just won’t back off. It's most frustrating!

Greetings everyone, it appears we’re facing the same dilemma! How about countering their tactics with our own? When they ring your landline, why not give them a tinkle back? Keep slamming that redial button! Just ensure your number is visible to them so that they know who’s giving them a buzz. If everyone jumps on this bandwagon, we could just flood their lines and potentially send them packing. It could very well be the solution we’re all after! Just a word of advice: do this only on the days they bother you and keep mum during the call.

I recently received a call from them myself, not too long ago. I don't have any prejudices, but when we realised the callers were from a different background and it became a bit tricky to understand what they were saying, we decided to hang up. We're not in any financial trouble, so there's really no reason to stress over it.

Sadly, it seems there's little we can do to stop these constant calls. These firms act as if they're untouchable when it comes to the law. They acquire a pile of old debts that are often no longer enforceable and then resort to harassment tactics, pressuring folks into paying amounts that they may not even be responsible for. This is a common occurrence, I assure you. If you pop over to consumeractiongroup.com, you’ll discover a wealth of accounts detailing similar experiences, with countless individuals sharing their harrowing stories of intimidation involving this particular company.

Like many of you, we receive countless calls throughout the day. We don’t owe anyone a penny, yet these callers are relentless, always ringing and never uttering a word when we pick up. There was that one occasion when they finally spoke, but honestly, it was so garbled we couldn’t understand a single thing. Quite the nuisance, really!

Indeed, we received a call that was remarkably similar to one we had just last year, inquiring about a parcel meant for a different house number. We felt a bit uneasy and told them we couldn’t assist. However, shortly after hanging up, it struck us that they mentioned our name, which is xx. This left us puzzled-how on earth did they know our name and then ask about a neighbour’s address? Quite suspect, if you ask me! It makes you wonder about the state of data protection these days; it’s utterly lacking!
