Over the past couple of weeks, I've had this company ring me up three times on different numbers. The person on the phone doesn't sound British, but they use a really typical British name to try and sound legit. They say they're calling to assist former MOD personnel - army, navy, RAF - and claim to be part of a national charity for veterans. After checking out genuine charities like Help for Heroes and similar groups, it's pretty clear this lot are a scam and have been running this con for years. Do yourself a favour and don’t give them any personal info, especially about any ex-forces relatives. Real support for ex-service people is provided through official resettlement programmes, so you don’t need to worry about dodgy calls like this.

They called me up and started asking if any of my relatives had served in the Army, Police, Ambulance, or Fire Brigade. The moment I told them no, they just ended the call straight away.
