Got a call saying it was from BT about some urgent internet security issue over the last few days. They said it needed my immediate attention. I asked them for their name, phone number, and a reference number so I could ring back later when I wasn’t busy. They kept dodging my questions, just saying it was really urgent. I told them if it was so urgent, why hadn’t they called me right when the problem was spotted? And not giving me a way to call back made me sure it was a scam. Then the line just went dead. Definitely a scam call!
