I received a call earlier claiming to be from Car Phone Warehouse, and, like several others have mentioned, the caller had an Indian accent. Despite my request for them to erase my information, I’m left feeling sceptical about their promise, especially since I've been inundated with numerous calls from other numbers also pretending to be from CPW. When I contacted Car Phone Warehouse, which is now under Currys, I was informed that they don’t operate any outbound sales team and that the number in question is not affiliated with them at all. This leaves me with a serious lack of trust in their assurances!

Said he was calling from 'Carphone Warehouse' with a deal on an iPhone 13 for just £50 a month, unlimited calls and texts and all that. I told him I was sorted, got an iPhone 55 already and mostly send my texts by pigeon post so I don’t really need a phone.
