I got a call from someone saying they were with Car Phone Warehouse, and just like others have mentioned, the lady had an Indian accent. I asked her to remove my info, and she promised she would. Still, I’ve received several calls from different numbers all claiming to be CPW and saying the same thing about deleting my data, so I’m not holding my breath. Later, I rang Car Phone Warehouse (now part of Currys) and they told me they don’t have a sales team making cold calls, the number wasn’t one of theirs, and that it definitely wasn’t a legit call from their side.

Said he was calling from 'Carphone Warehouse' with a deal on an iPhone 13 for just £50 a month, unlimited calls and texts and all that. I told him I was sorted, got an iPhone 55 already and mostly send my texts by pigeon post so I don’t really need a phone.
