On 14/11/22, I got a call from 01250457237, which is actually my own area code. They told me there were two dodgy attempts to use my Amazon account for £1100 and £300. I was told to press 1 to confirm or 2 to talk to someone. Panicking, I hit 2 but soon felt suspicious. I said hello a few times and the person really answered - so it wasn’t just a robot. After hanging up, I tried calling back but the number showed as unknown.
