11 yearsSo, I'm just getting home and this number keeps ringing on my landline. I did a 1471 check and get this - these muppets have a feature that stops you from seeing who’s calling, but they’ve somehow managed to get hold of my name and address, even though I’m on the official TPS list and ex-directory! They’re using this 'no ringback' thing, like dialling 3 or something, to hide their number but still have my personal info, which feels totally dodgy and likely illegal. I’ve never asked for any calls about sales, claims, surveys, or whatever, and these lot don’t even give you a way to opt out, despite me never agreeing to anything! All this and other people’s stories scream scam or phishing nonsense. Proper cowboys!TPSDial 311 yearsSo my landline starts ringing just as I’m about to go in, I grab the phone but the call drops straight away. I use 1471 to check the number and get told to hang up - which isn’t right at all, surely illegal, plus they don’t even ID themselves properly! To make things worse, I can’t use the no.3 callback because their system cuts the call off, leaving me no way to find out who was trying to call me. All this despite me being fully opted out, on the TPS register, and my number’s ex-directory. This has got to be breaking at least two laws! I’ve never asked for anything from these people - no sales calls, no compensation offers, no surveys or market research - so where did they get my details from? It’s clearly illegal use of my info. From what I’ve read from others on forums, these are scammers targeting vulnerable people, and the current laws and terms of service against them are pointless. They seem to keep getting away with it. The caller? See above.11 yearsThis number called me earlier today and kept ringing for around five minutes before cutting off. I tried calling back but couldn’t get through. From what I’ve seen online, it might be either a telemarketer or some kind of scam, but I’m not entirely sure.11 yearsThey just keep calling and then disconnecting straight away.11 yearsThis number has been ringing me twice a day. I picked up once and I think it was some kind of debt help service.11 yearsThis unknown number, 01249893128, keeps ringing me about some supposed bank fees. I just hang up every time but it doesn't seem to stop them at all. Really annoying!Caller11 yearsThis number has rung me three times in the past month, and not once have I had anyone pick up.11 yearsI've been getting a minimum of two calls each day from this number. What's going on?11 yearsThis number has been calling us around five times every day! The moment we tried to return the call, it said the number is incorrect. Clearly, it’s a scam - do be cautious!11 yearsTried to give them a ring, but I decided to pass as it seemed dodgy. Just a heads-up, folks!11 yearsI've been getting quite a number of calls from these individuals, always from the same distinctive voice, without a doubt.
