I've received multiple calls from this number over the last fortnight. On the first occasion, I answered, only to be greeted by a chap with an Asian accent who was insistent on conducting a survey, completely disregarding my polite refusal, which prompted me to hang up. Interestingly, this number appears on my Caller ID as “International out of area,” which only adds to the mystery. The most frustrating bit, however, is that every time they call-whether I pick up or not-it causes my broadband router to disconnect. Thankfully, I can usually reset the router with no hassle, although there was that one time when, following a slew of calls to my internet provider, I had to tinker with some of the settings. Got a call from this number around 2.38pm, the bloke asked for me by name and said he wasn’t trying to sell anything. When I asked what it was about, he just said to let him say his bit, so I asked again what he wanted and then he just hung up. Seems like if you try to throw them off their “script” they can’t handle it. Same number called back at 6.16pm but nobody answered.

I seem to get bombarded with around ten phone calls weekly from this particular number. Each time, they inquire whether a Mrs 'insert random name' resides at my address, and when I insist that she doesn’t, they stubbornly continue, claiming my number is listed as a contact. They then launch into a barrage of questions. Usually, I just cut the call short, but today I snapped and demanded they remove my number from their records. When the caller outright refused to divulge their company name and started getting rather rude, I had no choice but to terminate the call. Quite fed up with these persistent disturbances!
