5 yearsI wanted to share an alarming experience my mother, who is 75 and suffers from dementia, recently had with a phone call from this number. An individual claimed that they were about to deduct £349 from her debit card for an Amazon account, which perplexingly she does not possess since she has never engaged with Amazon. They went as far as asking her for her card number to verify it. Thankfully, her card was out of reach at the time. They instructed her to fetch it and said they would ring her back in five minutes. In a state of panic, she reached out to me, and I reassured her that it was a scam, urging her to ignore any future calls. However, they bizarrely called again on her landline while we were on the phone. In a stroke of bravery, she informed them she was aware it was a scam, to which they promptly disconnected.
