I've got a private landline with BT, and back on the 6th of December '18, it started dialling random numbers all on its own. It wasn't anything sneaky or harmful, just a glitch with the line causing trouble.

Phone didn’t show who it was on BT Call Guardian, so I’m guessing it was either a scam or one of those call centres. Decided to block the number just in case.
