Received a phone call today from someone who refused to reveal their identity. They mentioned knowing my name and claimed they'd sent a letter to a club I frequent, rather than my home address. When they asked for my email, I declined to share it. They indicated they'd be in touch again over the weekend. Apparently, they suggested that either I or the bill payer might be due an £18,000 rebate from my local council. Sounds very much like a scam to me.
