On the 24th of April 2021, I found myself on the receiving end of two unsolicited calls. The first one featured a blokes’ automated voice, blaring out some nonsense about an unpaid tax bill, claiming I needed to ring them back to dodge a hefty fine. Naturally, I answered the first call but swiftly hung up. The second call was a cheeky little number that went straight to voicemail. It’s blatantly obvious that it’s a scam-poorly orchestrated, to be honest. Yet, it’s still infuriating and quite risky too.
