I got this robotic call with some synthetic American accent saying my router’s IP had been hacked or something and I had to ring a number to sort it out. Totally sounded dodgy to me.

got a call from someone claiming to be from the bt internet team with a voice message about my internet being disconnected. I ended up chatting with a guy called "john". when I mentioned the pre-recorded message to him, he asked if I knew the reason behind it, which caught me off guard. then he started with his usual "we've been getting complaints" spiel - I couldn’t help but chuckle, it was clear he was just reading off a script. he got a bit lost after that and just hung up on me. total scammer!
