I had a curious call on my home phone. The woman on the other end claimed to be from BT, but her accent struck me as rather foreign. When I inquired about who she was trying to reach, she just repeated that she was with BT. I asked her to clarify her identity, hoping to catch her out, but she stuck to her guns, mentioning my internet service would be... Before she could elaborate, I interrupted her, stating I wasn’t even a BT customer! I really couldn’t tell if it was a dodgy call or not, but I wasn’t prepared to take any risks. I believe she identified herself as Karen.
