Got a call from a woman claiming to be from my internet company, said her name was BT or something. She told me there was some kind of blockages causing my computer to run slow. She wanted me to log in so she could fix the problem. When I asked for details, I mentioned I work in IT and she just ended the call. Definitely a scam!

Like some of the others here, I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from BT internet security and that my broadband was at risk. I asked if he’d actually been watching my internet usage and he went all quiet like he didn’t know what to say. After a pause, he tried to carry on with the same spiel as before, but I told him I wasn’t buying it and just ended the call.

Yesterday I got a call from someone with an Indian accent, but the line was really bad. They rang me on a 01203 number and said they were from BT internet tech support. I’ve heard all this before, it’s defo a scam that’s been going around since last year. We got multiple calls from these people in just one week. Didn’t even bother, just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a bloke with a really thick Indian accent, his English was all over the place. He said there was a problem with my internet. I played along for a bit, then he passed me on to someone who sounded a bit more professional. Same old nonsense, them saying “this is BT internet service” and all that. After a while, they just gave up and hung up.

I got a call from someone with an accent, asking me about my internet service. I just hung up straight away without saying a word.
