At first, I suspected it was a scam but after going through the comments, I see it’s legit. That said, since most people in Wales, like my Welsh hubby, talk English, wouldn’t it make more sense to start in English and only choose Welsh if you want? My husband’s really proud of being Welsh, but he doesn’t need to speak Welsh to show that.

I received a call that seemed to be from the NHS, instructing me to press 1 for Welsh or 2 for English. No matter which option I selected, it didn't seem to change anything at all. When it eventually connected to a voicemail, they just hung up. Quite bewildering, really!

Got a recorded message in Welsh telling me to press 1 for English. Wasn't expecting any calls so I just ended it. I don’t speak Welsh at all and thought it might be a scam. Most folks up here in North Wales don’t really use Welsh as their main language. Feels like they’re just forcing it on us. No clue what the call was meant to be about even if it was legit!

I received a completely automated call from NHS Cymru, and it was entirely in Welsh-something I couldn't make head nor tail of. There was an instruction to press 1 if I preferred English, but I ended up hanging up in confusion. I do find it puzzling that they assume everyone in Wales is fluent in Welsh. It left me in the dark about what the purpose of the call was!

Im pretty sure thats the NHS in Wales. They dont leave messages or give detailed info about appointments due to confidentiality rules. They cant even say its about an appointment. You could google Betsi Cadwaladr health board appointment reminder to check the number for yourself.

this telephone rings every Sunday night. they never bother to leave a message. whoever they are, i really wish they’d stop. it’s really getting on my nerves; week after week the calls keep coming. it’s been going on for months and even signing up with the preference service hasn’t helped. i’ve had enough and have now disconnected the phone, that’s how annoying it’s become.
