Answered the phone without saying anything and the person just hung up straight away. Its the second time Ive got a call like this in a week.

I received an absolutely strange call from this number earlier. The woman on the line was laughing incessantly, and at first, I assumed it was just a prank. However, it quickly dawned on me that this was no joke at all. When I mentioned she must have the wrong number, she insisted otherwise and claimed she could see me, even going so far as to allege there was a camera in my home. I hung up in a rush because it really unsettled me. I've dealt with my fair share of nuisance calls, but nothing of this nature before.

I received a call earlier today but wasn’t able to pick up. When I tried to return the call, all I got was a rushed voicemail indicating they were preoccupied, and I could hardly make out the name of the business.

They keep ringing me, and whenever I ask to talk to a manager, the person either claims they are the manager or just ends the call. We've asked them multiple times to remove us from their list - they go quiet for a few weeks, then sure enough, they’re back on the phone. Honestly, it's getting really frustrating. I’ve tried everything I can think of, from ignoring the calls to telling them nobody lives here anymore. But it’s like they just don’t listen.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent, asking to double check my address info and stuff. I told him his call was now with the “cold caller investigation unit” and he needed to stay put and not move from his desk while they traced the call and sorted the legal stuff out. There was a bit of silence then he just hung up! My approach with these idiots is just to mess with them a bit. Tried similar thing a few weeks back and the caller actually said sorry, claiming it was their first time ringing. Wonder if he’s still waiting for the cops to show up?

When I answered the phone and gave my number, there was complete silence at the other end, then a robotic lady's voice simply said 'Goodbye'. I'm really fed up with these calls, they've happened to me quite a few times before. Such a waste of my time!

I had a rather irritating experience with this number earlier today, on the 5th of November 2015, at around 11:40 in the morning. When I picked up my landline, a woman's voice-sounding quite robotic, if I'm honest-simply said, 'Goodbye' before the line went dead. It's quite frustrating and really encroaches on my time, which I value. - Caller: Unknown

If you're fed up with unwanted calls, I'd wholeheartedly recommend getting yourself a BT phone equipped with Call Guardian. I picked one up not long ago, and it's been a game-changer-I've not had a single nuisance call come through since; they’re all blocked without a hitch. Absolutely fantastic!

Despite being signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, we still find ourselves inundated with nuisance calls. A fellow rang me earlier, and I bluntly asked if it was a sales pitch. He cheerfully responded with a "good morning," stated my name, and enquired about my well-being. I reiterated my concern about it being a sales call, and he promptly ended the conversation. It's infuriating-particularly since he had the audacity to call before half-nine on a Saturday, waking the entire household! I really must remember to disconnect the phone before hitting the sack! Not the most pleasant way to kick off the weekend.

I get about six silent calls each day, and I never answer or talk when I do pick up, usually they just say goodbye and hang up. I also get these dead silent calls from a withheld number which I reckon is from the same lot. I've put my number on the TPS and it’s ex-directory, so I’d really like to find out who’s sold it to these lot so I can make them pay for me having to change my number!

Received one of those pesky automated calls, previously they masked their number as unknown. I answered with a casual "Hello," only for a robotic female voice to chirp back with a rather abrupt "goodbye." I hung up before they could continue, but now I’m feeling it’s imperative we track down this nuisance!

I received a call from this number, and when I inquired about who was on the line, she simply responded with "Canvas." I mentioned that I was on the Telephone Preference Service list, but she dismissed it, insisting she was seeking my thoughts. I made it clear that I wasn't interested in having a conversation, to which she queried, "Why?!". I just told her, "I’m not keen, thanks. Goodbye," and hung up. Her attitude was rather offhand, and I certainly didn't request this call.

I get calls from this number all the time. I’ve started just ignoring my landline and using 1471 to check who’s calling, and it’s this one again and again. They even ring after 9pm, which I thought was against the law? On Saturday 3rd October by midday it had already rung me three times. Sometimes they’re not even showing any caller ID, so maybe it’s someone else pretending or another round of scammers?

If you get a phone call like this, it’s best not to say anything straight away. The voice-recognition tech they use only really kicks in once it hears you speak, and that’s when they start firing questions at you. Often, their system is auto-dialling a bunch of numbers at once, so just picking up won’t always trigger it, only your voice will. What I do to mess with them is keep quiet, then leave the phone off the hook. In some call centres, that actually blocks their line from making more calls until you hang up, so you can turn the situation around on these nuisance callers.

Got a call from this number earlier - some guy with an Asian accent wanting me to take part in a survey. It was the tenth time I’d got called today, so I just declined, like usual. Tried calling back and got a fast-played answerphone message from a firm called 'Canvas Opinion Research' or something like that. The message kept looping, so no chance to talk to a person. According to Google, the area code points to Bangor, but I reckon that’s just part of the phone system - my guess is the call came from abroad.

01248700702 keeps ringing me with loads of quiet calls. Blocking the number and using TPS doesn't seem to stop them one bit. It's one of those survey firms again. Honestly, get lost! Just today, I got called twice by the same Indian lady, then two Indian blokes, all saying their names were John or Mark - yeah, sure. I asked them both times what the call was about and pretended I wasn’t the homeowner, said I was stuck on some remote desert island for ages and to not ring me ever again. Fingers crossed it works!

I’ve been inundated with calls from this number, often more than six in a single day! They usually have an Asian accent-whether it's a man or woman can vary-and they claim to be carrying out a survey that supposedly wraps up in a mere two minutes. However, the moment I express my disinterest with a “no thanks,” they just carry on regardless, leaving me with no choice but to hang up. Now, I’ve taken to ignoring the calls altogether and just dialling 1471 once the ringing ceases.

I received a call from this number not too long ago. An individual with an Indian accent inquired about me by name, claiming to represent something called Canvas Opinion-at least, that’s what I gathered. She was keen to pose a few questions, assuring me it wouldn’t take much of my time. I informed her that my rate for phone consultations stood at £50 per hour, or any fraction of that time. I then inquired how she would prefer to settle the payment. To my surprise, she abruptly ended the call! And just like that, I’ve lost a potential fifty quid! What a shame! 😞

Indeed, I'd like to share my recent experience with a rather dubious call I received from a lady of Asian descent. She claimed to represent "Canvas Opinion," which, as far as I'm aware, doesn't exist. Her purpose was to conduct some sort of survey. I made it quite clear that we don't engage with surveys from unfamiliar callers. It’s well-known that such information often ends up being sold to various companies for marketing purposes, leading to a barrage of persistent calls from others eager to peddle their wares. Despite her insistent rebuttals, I wasn't convinced. I promptly ended the call and blocked the number to prevent any future disturbances. This is a classic example of how identity theft can transpire. Stay vigilant and don’t be misled!

I recently had an unpleasant encounter with a rather obnoxious chap named 'Paul' from India. He insisted I partake in a lifestyle questionnaire, but his grasp of English was so poor that I struggled to comprehend his words! I must have asked him at least seven times what the purpose of his call was, but he incessantly droned on about some nebulous 'third-party partners.' Each time I posed a question, his typical response was a drawn-out, “Oh kay, oh kay… So, you're absolutely fine with us sharing your details with a third party, right? Jolly good!” Honestly, it was the most atrocious customer service experience I've ever had. In a moment of frustration, I told him precisely where to stick it in Arabic before hanging up the phone. I received a rather peculiar call on 25th May 2015, precisely at 14:37, which happened to be a Bank Holiday Monday. An Asian lady was on the line, insisting I partake in some sort of survey, addressing me directly by name. It feels like I’m inundated with around nine or ten similar calls each week from these overseas call centres. Surely, there has to be a way to put a stop to this persistent nuisance!

Got a call about some consumer survey. They wouldn’t listen when I said I’m not interested, and it’s a bit unsettling they already seem to know my address and other stuff.

Gave them a ring back and masked my number with 141. A foreign chap picked up and it turned out to be some sort of survey. I promptly told him where to go!

I've been receiving around four or five calls daily from this number. If you pick up, just dial 7726 while on the call, and you'll be able to report it. I usually ask them to hang on and then put them on hold; at least that way, I can fritter away a bit of their time too!

Got a call from a woman with an accent, saying she really valued --------, but that was about the limit before I hung up!

For the past three days, I've received calls from this number, and today I endured two in a row, right after the first. They typically seem to arrive around dinner time. I've chosen to ignore them.

Got a call from someone in India asking me to do a survey. DON'T GET INVOLVED. They end up selling your info and you’ll be bombarded with loads of calls afterwards.

Someone called asking for Mr (my first name) then just dropped the phone when I asked who they were.

I’ve received a couple of calls this afternoon, and I must say, it’s becoming rather tiresome.

I keep receiving calls from an Indian gentleman wanting to chat about some road traffic incident-it’s the same old story, isn't it? I ended the conversation pretty quickly. But annoyingly, the calls just keep rolling in, all from various different numbers.

Yet another dodgy number linked to an Indian call centre conducting 'Lifestyle' surveys, which translates to a barrage of marketing calls in the future. Just ignore it, and before long, they'll tire of trying!

Every time I answer the phone, there's never a soul on the other end. It's baffling!

I’m absolutely fed up with this! Not a soul has gotten in touch with my phone provider. It’s just infuriating!

They've rung me up twice today, and I'm absolutely fed up with it. This nonsense needs to be put to an end, and pronto!

I received a call from this number despite being on the Telephone Preference Service list. Does anyone know who might be behind this?
