Sounds like a classic scam ring, if you ask me. I picked up and there was this awkward pause - guess the auto-dialler was hooking me up to some call centre in India or somewhere. Then the bloke comes on saying he’s from Carphone Warehouse, wanting to offer me an upgrade on my phone. He asked what model I had, and I just flat out said no. I flipped it back on him and asked what he actually wanted, and he said something about 'giving me an upgrade on my gadget'. I didn’t hold back and told him to keep his gadget where the sun doesn't shine.
