I reckon it was just another dodgy scam call. You pick up, and there’s a moment of silence while the automated system sorts itself out to connect you to the Indian call centre. Then this chap claims to be from Carphone Warehouse, wanting to talk about upgrading my mobile. He asked me what device I was using, but I flat out refused to say. When I pressed him about his intentions, he blurted something about offering me an 'upgrade for my gadget', and I had to tell him to stick his gadget where the sun doesn’t shine!
