I got a call from someone claiming to be Halifax - he even mentioned my DOB and some account info which freaked me out. Then he started asking about my unsecured credit and handed me over to a place called Debt Free Solutions. I was pretty alarmed and asked how they had my bank details, and after that, the guy said sorry and hung up. If you get a call like this, don't agree to anything, just hang up. I rang Halifax to check and they said they never contact customers without warning first. Watch out, folks!
