This number kept ringing me six times over the last couple of days. An Indian lady said there was an issue with my computer. When I picked up yesterday, I replied quietly and she just ended the call. Today, I spoke sharply and louder, managed to get her on the line again but couldn’t make out what she was saying. Ended up hanging up and I’m just going to block the number from now on.

Someone rang up asking for the person who owns the number, saying they were from a firm that sorts out annoying and harassing calls. I just found it funny and ended the call straight away.

If you’ve had a call from this number, I’d advise you get in touch with the national fraud team straight away. I rang them myself earlier today and honestly, the quicker we report these scams, the faster the crooks face justice. You can also visit www.actionfraud.police.uk to report it online.

Got calls nonstop from a man with an Indian accent, can't even remember how many times now. Yesterday, I mentioned I didn’t own a computer, and he actually said, "why are you lying, you have everything you need." I just ended the call, but he kept ringing back a few minutes later, and when I ignored, he just kept trying again. It got to a point where I had to step outside just to escape the constant bother.

They try to trick you into deleting your antivirus then take over your computer! Luckily my old hard drive was about to die so they couldn’t do anything. Just tell them you’ve reported them to the police and that an investigation is underway. They’re really nasty and can get quite aggressive on the phone! Be firm, hang up, and say the police are involved and you’re recording the call x

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent, seemed polite at first. Once I realised it was just rubbish, I told them off properly. Honestly, these annoying fools deserve better - somebody should track them down and sort them out.

Got a call from a bloke named Alex, who said he was from Windows Tech Support, about some issues with my PC. It didn’t sit right with me, so I mentioned that I’m on the telephone preference service, but he just said Microsoft isn’t covered by that. I ended up reporting it to the police through 101, and they directed me to ActionFraud, who recorded all the info. Hopefully, if they get loads of complaints, something will be done about it.

Just like the stories I've heard before. Wish someone would hack back and send them a virus via the computer they're using. What a shame no one does that!

Today alone, I’ve received about 11 calls from this 012783751780 or some foreign number. Every time, it’s a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. Honestly, it’s getting super frustrating. I tried calling back but got a message saying the number isn’t recognised. Does anyone know how to block these annoying calls for good?

15th April 2014, around 2pm. I got a call from a lady with an Indian accent, saying something about fixing my computer. I've had quite a few calls like this before, and normally I just stay polite. However, I know a mate who fell for one of these and ended up messing up his PC badly. Today I wasn’t feeling patient, so I gave her a proper telling off.

Got a call from a bloke with a foreign accent who claimed my computer was infected and that he was ringing from Microsoft! I told him I'd no computer or laptop, then I turned off my internet. When I asked where he was calling from, he said Microsoft, but when I pressed him for the country, he said Bradford, haha. Then I just ended the call. They're trying to spread malware. Don’t ever turn on your computer because Microsoft will never call you out of the blue like that.

Got a call from an Indian guy claiming there was some alert about Microsoft on my PC. I told him I already have antivirus and to quit calling me. He kept saying I didn’t get it, but I was firm and said I wasn’t interested. Pretty sure it was just a scam to get into my computer!

Had loads of calls from this woman before, told her to buzz off ages ago. Now whenever I pick up, the line just goes dead. What muppets.

Got a call from some bloke twice today, claiming he wanted to sort out the hoax calls I'd apparently reported (bit odd). I told him I’d never made such a complaint and asked him to take me off his call list. When he rang a second time, he insisted no one had rung that morning. I firmly asked again to have my number taken off, and he finally, though not happily, said alright and hung up.

It was pretty simple actually! He rang about something to do with my computer, but I said I didn't have one at home, only used one at work at the police station. As soon as I said that, he just ended the call and never reached out again.

Just got a call at around 11:55 from someone claiming to be from Windows, but the bloke had an Indian accent and it didn’t seem legit at all. Watch out for number 012483751780, doesn’t feel right to me!

I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent who even knew my last name. The connection was terrible, so I couldn’t catch which company she said she was calling from. She mentioned something about complaints regarding the number of marketing calls we’ve been getting on our home line. It just felt a bit off, like it might’ve been some sort of joke or scam. I wasn’t clear on what she was after, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent trying to get me to let him into my PC. I humoured him for a bit just to drag it out, then I gave him a bit of my mind and told him where to stick it.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming there’s an issue with my computer. I told her I hadn’t mentioned any problems, but she kept insisting there was something wrong. Felt a bit iffy about the whole thing, so I ended the call. This number has called me before. Does anyone know if there’s somewhere else besides this great website to report this kind of thing?

Looks like another scam to me. The number seems legit and the person on the phone said they're from Microsoft. Lots of people are getting the same call. They told me "Your computer has a virus, switch it on so we can help you." Seriously, don't fall for it!

About a week back, this number rang me. At first it seemed legit, so I answered, but it didn’t take long to figure out it was a scam. Since then, whenever I spot this number on my phone’s screen, I just let it go to the answerphone instead of picking up.

They've rung me up three times already, and every time I make it clear I’m not sharing any details and ask them to remove my number from their list.

Had a call from someone saying my computer was sending out viruses and they needed me to log in so they could fix it remotely. Told them I’d just come back from holiday and my PC was already with the repair shop. The moment I said that, they just said thanks and hung up. Feels like a total scam to me.

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent asking questions about the computers and laptops we have at home. I didn’t want to share any details, and she didn’t seem happy about it. Then she just ended the call. I thought about ringing back but then I noticed the number had a lot of digits, which seemed off, so I didn’t bother. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

It appears that this number is rather elusive, as no one seems to be picking up the phone. Oddly enough, even after I hang up and try again, the line remains active. Quite the puzzler, isn’t it?
