Got a call from this number about 1:30 in the morning. The bloke on the line claimed he was from the telephone preference service. I told him that TPS doesn’t ring people out of the blue. He said he might be able to sort out nuisance calls for me. I just said the best help would be if he simply stopped calling me. Then I hung up and blocked the number straight away.

got a ring from 01248209450 a few days ago, they said they were from the telephone preference service and wanted to 'update' my details. they asked for my bank info as some kind of identity check, but I told them straight up I reckoned they were dodgy. they started getting a bit pushy and tried hard to convince me it was legit. I just ended the call. seriously, don't hand over any personal stuff to them.

Got a call from someone saying they were from the telephone preference service, but the number showed up as being from Wales, even though the company is meant to be based in London. They were trying to get me to upgrade my service, which doesn’t sound right at all. I ended the call, but I reckon if I’d stayed on, they’d have tried to charge me for a service that’s supposed to be free and probably swipe my card info.
