It got me thinking because I did make a strange payment for a bit over £600 last week, but since I knew it was legit, I didn’t press anything.Visa Secure7 yearsGot a recorded message on my phone saying something like, "Hi, this is a call from your Visa Mastercard provider about a £600+ transaction overseas. Press 1 to talk to an operator." First off, Visa and Mastercard are totally separate companies, so that itself sounded fishy. Secondly, I’m never gonna press buttons for some robotic call without them properly saying who they are. Felt like a scam straight away.
