Got a call from BT? They were all about convincing me to change to hii communications... seemed a bit dodgy if you ask me.

I received a rather pushy call from someone claiming to be from BT, insisting that my line would be disconnected in 2025. It felt awfully like a sales tactic, so I’d recommend steering clear of that one!

Definitely a scam call! They claimed to be from BT, warning me about my phone line being disconnected. The moment they figured out they were speaking to a business, they promptly cut the conversation short. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

I said my company name and they hung up straight away - bit rude really. I tried ringing back a couple of times, it picked up but then just went silent on me.

I reckon this was a phishing scam. Some bloke claimed to be a BT engineer and was saying they were turning off certain lines, then suddenly started offering me a "better deal" than what I had with BT. It got right annoying after a while. Funny enough, I had to call BT about a line issue anyway, and they confirmed no engineer ever contacted me about it. BT usually have loads of security steps in place, but this so-called engineer didn’t do any checks at all. So just a heads up, be careful. I’m blocking that number right now.
