4 monthsSome bloke rang saying he was from BT, saying our old phone line was going to be disconnected. I told him we actually use VOIP now, but he kept pestering about when we switched and who set it up. I told him we’d scrapped the landline years ago, then he just ended the call. Later, I dialled him back and let him know I wasn’t happy with being cut off. He said he didn’t appreciate my tone, so I just hung up. He kept ringing my number, which forwards to my mobile. I got Google to screen the calls for me but he kept trying. Eventually I blocked him and flagged him as a scammer.BTGoogle4 monthsSomebody rang me saying they were from BT and wanted to check if I was still on the old analogue line at my company since it was meant to be cut off soon. I told them no and they just said thanks and ended the call.BT4 monthsSome bloke rang saying he was from BT, told us we've got an unused analogue line. He kept asking what phones we had and how much we were paying monthly, claiming it was to check we weren't getting ripped off. If he really worked for BT, wouldn’t they already have that info? Felt fishy to me!BT5 monthsThey keep ringing from the same area code but always with a different number. Acting like they’re from BT’s main office. So annoying!BT5 monthsGot a call from someone claiming to be from BT saying they'd disconnect our phone line if we didn't respond. It was around 11:56 on 26th Feb. The caller said BT’s doing some maintenance on certain lines and wanted to verify stuff. Number they called from was 01246 927641, and the person said their name was Brendan Johnson. No email was given. Bit dodgy if you ask me.BTBrendan Johnson5 monthsSomebody rang me saying they’re from BT’s main office and called it the “last port of call” about analogue lines. Told them we’re getting loads of calls from various numbers all saying they’re from BT. They sounded proper clueless and just hung up on me, so there’s no way it was really BT. Just some muppet having a go as usual.BTSubmit Your Own Report (01246 927641)
