Can't quite recall what the offer was, but the options were: press 1 to chat with an operator, or press 9 to opt out. ## Avoid pressing 9 ## better just to hang up. If you do press 9, they'll know a person picked up and you'll probably get even more calls. I'm on the TPS register, so since they disregarded that, they're definitely not trustworthy.

Could be a big coincidence or maybe a scam. Got a call from someone called Alex claiming he was with the Loft Insulation advice group or that kind of thing. He asked me to confirm if I was the "owner of the property" I asked which property he meant, and then the call just cut off straight away. Feels a bit dodgy especially since it was only a day after I’d got a quote for fixing damp in the loft caused by poor ventilation for a place I rent out.

Some guy named Alex rang me back about some insulation he'd apparently put in my loft. Right from the start, his voice sounded a bit off. When I told him I reckon he’d dialled the wrong number and asked who he thought I was, he just kept saying the same thing over again. Luckily, their number showed up, so I had a quick look on sites like this to find out where they’re from - Chesterfield, believe it or not! I’ve got no mates or family there, so it’s a bit odd. Honestly, I swear by my answer machine for stuff like this - scammers never stick around when it’s not a real person answering, since there’s nothing in it for them if they’re just talking to a machine!

Got a call a moment ago from a random number I didn't recognise (oddly loads finish with 300, anyone else notice that?). We chose not to pick up and there was no voicemail left either. I usually just let calls from unknown numbers go straight to voicemail. If it’s something important, surely they’d leave a message, right? This one didn’t, so no clue who or what they wanted. I've seen this number pop up here before, so clearly they keep trying.

Some bloke called Sam rang, pretending we’d invited him to check our boiler. What nonsense he had planned if we’d given our address, no idea. TPS is totally useless, don’t bother.

this number kept ringing me like nonstop, so i finally picked up and said "hello". i heard this weird echoey voice, almost like they were talkin through some gadget. i just ended the call. what’s the point of these calls anyway? total time waster!

I've been getting nonstop calls where no one actually speaks. It’s been going on for weeks now and it’s totally driving me nuts. Just in the past hour alone I’ve had four calls with nothing but silence whenever I answer. Honestly, I’m so fed up, I just want them to stop already.

Got a call with an AI voice about loft insulation - if you respond in a friendly way and show interest in talking to a real person, it will keep going, but if you sound annoyed or say no, it just hangs up straight away.

Got a call from this number earlier today at 14:44. As soon as the voicemail picked up, the caller just ended the call. Looks like yet another scam, based on all the other comments I’ve read about this number.

Got a call about 30 mins back from a bloke who said his name was Alex. He claimed he needed to send someone over to check my loft insulation and told me my lagging was making condensation a problem. When I asked him when the work was done, he just dropped the call. Sounded really polite and like he wanted to sound legit, but yeah, I’m not buying it!
