Had pretty much the same experience as everyone else here, I just ignore calls from numbers I don’t know. I’ve got messages left on my answerphone about my energy supplier, calls from blocked numbers, and even got one from 488673. Also had a call from a strange mobile, 07940739641, not sure if it’s all linked. I switched my energy in June to First Utility and only later heard I need a smart meter fitted within 6 months. Turns out switching out costs £75 for each utility, not the £30 they said it would be. Bit too much of a coincidence, if you ask me.

So it's supposed to be an Energy Company. Some utility company or whatever, the automated message is super fast and hard to catch anything. I keep blocking the number but they just ring from a different one next time. I’ve got a smart meter and I’m fine with my provider. They’re obviously just after commissions. I heard these smart meters aren’t as clever as they claim.
