Got a recorded call today even though I’m registered on TPS. Pretty sure it was a scam, as everything’s fine with my account. It was an Asian woman saying she was from BT, no doubt trying to tell me my phone line or internet’s gonna be cut off or something. Total rubbish.

Got a call from an Asian woman claiming to be from BT, and you can guess it was about some warning that my internet or phone line was going to get cut off. Typical scare tactic, I suppose.

This number is pretty much identical to 001246414807, but they've dropped a zero so it looks like it's a UK number instead of one from the States - how does that even work? The one starting with 00 has been flagged as a scam, so I'd bet the other one isn’t much better. I don’t pick up calls from unknown numbers, so I can’t say for sure, but it looks a bit dodgy to me.

They claimed to be representing Talk Talk, but typically they reach out via email rather than calls. This isn’t the first instance of receiving a call that appears to be from them, only to discover it's not genuine.
