I’m experiencing something similar; we keep missing calls because I’m tied up at work. Just today, I noticed a message was left, but it was quite muddled with office chatter in the background. I overheard a couple of blokes having a natter, but I couldn’t quite catch what they were on about.

Nobody seems to respond as soon as they answer the phone.

I’ve been plagued by calls from 01246 293799, and it’s driving me bonkers! I was hoping for an important call, but all I get is this annoying number ringing incessantly. Every time I pick up, there’s no one there. For the love of all that's good, can this person just cut it out already?

Who on earth was ringing us up?

A number rang me at precisely 12:53 on the 29th of March, 2012, and, unsurprisingly, it was much the same as other calls I’ve had. Upon picking up, there was a curious moment of silence. I greeted the caller a couple of times, until eventually, a young lady with an Asian accent came on the line. However, before she could even finish her sentence, the call abruptly cut off. It’s utterly infuriating, and I’m not alone in my annoyance with these dreadful companies. While they play their games, I hold our telephone service providers accountable as well. They could easily implement filters to avoid these nuisances-just like they do with emails. If an unknown caller doesn’t leave a contact number, that could be an automatic flag, alongside international numbers or those that could be reported as spam after a single unwanted call. The tech is definitely out there; it’s just a shame that our service providers seem to overlook this in favour of poor customer satisfaction. For those of you who’ve reached your limit, I'd recommend looking into the CPR Call Blocker available on eBay or through Google Shopping-this is the kind of tech you want to tackle these pests. Ideally, though, I believe such protections should be offered for free by our own phone providers.

Received a couple of calls within just five minutes, but as soon as we answered, there was no one on the other end. Quite odd indeed!

We keep getting a call from this number three times a day, but thankfully we haven't been around to pick up. Who on Earth could be behind these calls? What do they actually want from us? It's perplexing where they've managed to get our details from. We've even tried ringing the number back, but it just tells us that it doesn't exist. What a nuisance!

We receive calls roughly every other day around 10 in the morning. As soon as we pick up, there's someone on the other end who immediately asks for my partner by their first name, which strikes me as rather odd and unprofessional. After enduring a couple of questions, we finally glean that they're trying to discuss new government laws regarding debt, but that's the extent of their explanation. Very frustrating!

I keep getting calls from this number, but I can't quite figure out who's behind it. The last time we answered, we heard, "It's been ten years; why are you still playing games with us?" before they abruptly hung up. I tried ringing them back on both my mobile and office phone, but it just says the number's not valid. Quite puzzling, really!

I dashed down to pick up the phone, and I could hear a lot of chatter in the background. I attempted to greet them several times, but then they simply hung up! I'm really getting rather fed up with these call centres that seem to use some sort of automated dialing - it’s infuriating when you answer and there’s no one on the line.

We're utterly baffled by this company - we're not certain what they're peddling or even who they are. When we tried to return the call, it said the number couldn't be found. We're sick to the back teeth of these pesky firms constantly bothering us!

My partner answered the phone, and the caller introduced themselves as "Saline Solutions." They then passed the phone over to me, but guess what? The line was already dead!

I'm not entirely certain what the company's name was, but we received a call from them asking when we'd be looking to sort out our debts. They seemed to be some sort of debt management service. I didn’t have a proper conversation with them and politely told them I wasn’t interested, yet they’ve called us again. Very persistent, these sorts!

Received a couple of nuisance calls from these pesky individuals today, both times they were inquiring about my missus. They only identified themselves as Carla from public information, clearly a front for IVA or debt management schemes. We’re signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, yet these bothersome callers seem to disregard that entirely. The number's from the Chesterfield vicinity, and when I tried to ring back after checking the last dialled, it turned out the number was blocked. It’s a shame that these leeches only seem to grasp two words- the second being 'away'.

We're absolutely eager to track these individuals down, give them a right scare, and make them utterly regret their actions. Honestly, their behaviour is pushing us to our limits and it’s becoming infuriating!
