These folks are essentially a company that trades in databases loaded with personal information. Our recommendation? Just answer the call and request to have your details removed from their records (they're mandated by law to comply). This way, you can stop your number from being passed around right from the origin.

After a bit of investigation, we stumbled upon this phonespamfilter.co.uk. My mate Jason got a call from this number, so we answered it with a cheery "hello," only for them to hang up straight away. We managed to catch their number by hitting 1471. When we rang them back, they blanked us again. So, on our next attempt, we called using a different number, and lo and behold, it was answered by 74 Solutions. We made our demands clear, insisting they remove our number from their list and that we wouldn't appreciate any more calls!

I keep getting calls from this number, and it's utterly baffling! They don’t leave a message or anything, which makes it all the more confusing. Honestly, I've been inundated with calls from numerous debt management agencies lately. I have a strong suspicion this is just another one of them!

On the 24th of March 2011 at precisely 11:05, we received a rather peculiar call from this number, which we confirmed through 1471. It was a strange silent ring. Whenever we pick up, there’s no one on the line, and they just hang up right after. We've taken the matter up with OFCOM under case number 1172214060 and have also lodged a formal complaint with the relevant company.

I've just received a call from a place called (74 Solutions?), but they didn't leave a message on our answering machine. So, I suppose I'll have to ring them back and try to get our number removed from their records. The way things go, they'll probably just pass it on to the next person. Makes you wonder if "74 Pollutions" would be a more fitting name, doesn't it? Cheers! Best, EEDS
