Just got a call from 01246275684, some Asian bloke with a right thick accent claiming to be from Accident Claim advice. He was all like, 'How are you today?' I said, 'Fine until you rang' (obviously a dodgy call). Then he went on saying I'd been in an accident and had to tell him all about it. I told him, 'If you’ve got the info, then you tell me.’ Next thing he’s threatening, saying 'Tell me now or I’ll mess you up proper.' Then I just heard the line go dead and I hung up straight away.

Got a call from an Asian bloke on our work line, had to ask him to say it a few times cause I wasn’t catchin him. Got a call from a bloke with a strong accent claiming to be from "UK Accident Services" about an insurance claim. When I asked, he said he was calling from Manchester. I told him I was on the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) list and asked where he found my number. He claimed it was from my insurer, Liverpool Victoria, saying they informed him about an accident I supposedly had in the last two years. Neither of those things are true. I've reported it to the TPS and would recommend anyone else who gets similar calls do the same.

I've had a similar experience to those mentioned herein. They claimed that my number was passed on by my insurance firm regarding a car crash (which I can assure you, has never occurred). When I pressed for the name of my so-called insurance provider, they abruptly ended the call.
