I reckon someone's faked a real company’s number to trick people with scam calls. This person claimed to be from O2, offering a 30% discount for a whole year if I followed a link they said they'd text me. They wanted me to fill in my info through it. When I asked who they were trying to reach, they couldn’t give me any actual name, just kept repeating they needed to verify I was the right person and that everything would be in the link. Thing is, I don’t even have O2 on the number they rang.
