Just had a really similar call like the one someone mentioned from 29/11/2018. It started with a lady speaking with an Indian accent ringing me up, then she passed me onto a chap claiming to be Ron Hudson, also with an Indian accent, saying he was from BT HG. He gave me a London address and phone number, but the whole thing felt off. Would BT genuinely call like that? He also asked if I usually do my shopping online or over the phone. Watch out for these scams!

I got a call from a bloke with a strong Indian accent, saying he was from BT and that my internet address was at risk. He wanted to assist in blocking whoever was supposedly using my connection. Honestly, it all felt pretty dodgy. Just yesterday, a woman with a similar thick Indian accent called me too, also claiming to be from BT - I just hung up straight away. If BT were legit, I doubt they’d be ringing from some Chesterfield area code or a weird number like 137951. Watch out for these calls!
