5 yearsSome bloke rang up proper pushy saying I’ve got a TV insurance deal with them, which I don’t. He started on about lowering my payments ‘cause I haven’t made any claims or something. When I tried to explain I’m not with them, he kept arguing. I mentioned he had the wrong password and that I pay monthly by direct debit, not a lump sum yearly, but he wasn’t having it. Then he said I could cancel the policy but there’d be a fee for that. I told him I’m not cancelling, and he went on to say “they’d just take £300 from my account anyway.” What a mess!5 yearsGot a call from some guy with a thick southern accent, said he was from London. It was about a drainage cover or something. Ended up having a bit of a row with him.London5 yearsGot a call from a bloke with a proper cockney Essex accent, full on pushy about some “Drainage Insurance” my missus supposedly had been shelling out for the last couple of years. He was real confident at first, acting like he knew what he was talking about, but when I started questioning him, he got arsey and argumentative. I nearly lost it when, after checking with my wife, he basically told me over the phone that she was lying - that kicked off a proper heated row. Then he goes on about how because I was “rude”, my discount was off the table and he was gonna take £350 from my account anyway. Asked him for any paperwork, but he tried to dodge by saying they’re some “green company” and don’t do mail-outs. I was dead certain he was a con, so demanded he cancel, but he said there’d still be a cancellation fee and no matter what I said, he kept insisting he’d just charge me regardless, real intimidating like. Scary enough, he had all my details - full name, address, my wife’s name, plus the last 4 digits of her card.
