Got a voicemail claiming to be from the crime bureau about my national insurance, saying my NI number was about to be suspended. I just cut the call and blocked the number straight away. Seems like a bit of a scam, but I suppose some people could easily get fooled by the official-sounding message, especially if they’re vulnerable and worried. Definitely not something to mess around with.

Someone was definitely on the line but just stayed silent and didn’t say a word.

I didn't know who was calling, so I just let it ring through to voicemail, then the person ended the call.
