Received a call concerning a medical alarm from an individual with an Indian accent. This nonsense has got to come to an end!

There was a quiet pause for about 10 to 15 seconds before they finally said "Hello?" I replied but never got another word back. They hung up just a few seconds afterwards. From now on, I’m just gonna ask straight away, "What’s your business?" before saying anything else.

Got a call earlier today from a woman who wanted to speak to me or my husband by name. When I asked who was calling, she gave me an English name but spoke with an accent. She said we qualified for some medical equipment. Curious, I asked what made us eligible and she just repeated they could supply the equipment. I pressed her to explain why we qualified but she couldn’t give a clear answer. I then asked if everyone was eligible and she said yes. Realising it was a sales pitch, I told her no thanks and ended the call. Definitely a scam in my opinion.

Got a call from a bloke with a thick Indian accent, which made it hard to catch what he was saying. He was trying to freak me out into buying some sort of medical alarm system. I wasn’t having any of it and told him straight up he was a scammer and should feel bad for trying to trick people. Then he started getting rude and told me to hang up. You could hear loads of other Indian voices buzzing away in the background like it was some noisy call centre. Got a call with loads of background noise, sounded like a call centre, and the bloke had an Asian accent. He started on about some medical emergency. When I told him what he was doing was disgusting and he should feel bad for running scams, he actually got annoyed and told me off for my choice of words - apparently ‘disgusting’ is too harsh! He said it wasn’t a scam and even used my name. FYI, our number is on the TPS list.
