When I asked where he was calling from, he couldn’t say Chelmsford and quickly dodged my questions. He also mentioned something about confidentiality so he couldn’t share my details, but I told him if he’s got my name and number, he already has the main stuff. If I get woken up at some ridiculous hour by my little girl, baby boy or even our old cat, you best believe I’ll be ringing him back.

When I asked where he was calling from, he couldn’t even say Chelmsford properly and dodged my questions till he ran out of time. I received a phone call from someone with an accent that seemed distinctly Indian. Before launching into her spiel, she cleared her throat repeatedly, which was a bit odd. She claimed to be from Currys and was offering an enticing 50% off a mobile device. She then inquired about the make of my current phone, which struck me as completely irrelevant to her so-called discount. I informed her that I had just acquired a new phone, so her offer did not pique my interest. There was a rather exaggerated sigh from her after that, followed by a rather half-hearted "have a good day," at which point I decided to hang up! Quite the amusing encounter, really!
