I fully support the accounts shared here. This is nothing short of a con. An individual with an Indian accent claimed to be from Windows Technical Support, warning me that my computer was infested with viruses. I engaged with him for a short while, but when I inquired about how he obtained my phone number, he abruptly ended the call. It’s clear this is a scam, and I urge anyone receiving such calls to report them to the police via the "Action Fraud" website. The more reports they gather, the greater the chance they'll take action and put a stop to these fraudulent operations.

I received a rather alarming call from individuals attempting to swindle me out of my hard-earned cash, claiming that I must act immediately lest my computer face imminent catastrophe. Apparently, I was referred to them through TalkTalk, but I shall verify with TalkTalk to ascertain whether they were genuinely involved. As a 73-year-old, I find this kind of scam quite unsettling. What measures can I take to safeguard myself from such nefarious tactics?

I received a call from this number earlier today. A chap with an Indian accent asked me to turn on my computer, claiming he was from Windows 10 support. I mentioned that I don’t actually own a computer, and without another word, he abruptly hung up. Quite peculiar, to say the least!

I recently received a phone call from a man with an Indian accent, who professed to be a technician from BT. He insisted he had information indicating that my computer was on the verge of being hacked. His demeanor was shockingly abrasive, and he accused me of being foolish for not recognising that they were trying to assist me. I stood my ground and refused to switch on my computer because I was certain it was a scam. I maintained my stance and did not engage any further, after which he ended the call with an insincere "God bless you, sir." If you get a similar call, I highly advise you to be cautious.

I just had a peculiar call from this number moments ago. I answered with a polite "hello," yet there was complete silence on the other end. Then, out of the blue, an automated voice chimed in with a rather abrupt "goodbye." Quite unsettling, really, particularly since this number has been trying to get in touch repeatedly while I’ve been away from the phone.

I've recently received a rather dodgy phone call from someone claiming to be from BT Openreach, who insisted there was an issue with my internet, despite the fact that everything was running smoothly. When I mentioned that I had received an e-mail alerting me that this number might be fraudulent, he quickly asked me to forward that e-mail to [email protected]. Naturally, I decided to terminate the conversation and didn't bother sending it. Quite suspicious, to say the least!

Received a call purporting to be from Microsoft, stating there was an issue with my computer. I simply responded by mentioning I don't actually own one. Quite thrown off by that, they were! 😄

I had a rather dubious phone call from this number earlier today. The chap on the line had an English name but his accent was distinctly foreign, sounding quite Indian if I’m honest. He insisted he was calling from BT Openreach Support and went on about my computer supposedly being riddled with viruses. Now, I'd only just spoken to the BT call centre about some broadband issues not long before, so I suppose a call from someone with an Indian accent didn’t seem too out of place at first. Nevertheless, it didn’t take long for me to realise this was a complete scam, and I promptly hung up. I can see how others could fall for this ruse. It begs the question, though, how did they manage to get a hold of my ex-directory number?

I’ve received quite a few calls from this number in recent months. Each time, the caller claims there’s an issue with my computer and insists that I must provide certain details to prevent it from crashing. The gentleman on the line, who speaks with an accent, purports to be calling from something like the “Windows Reading Office.” He’s always pressing me to act immediately to avert a breakdown of my computer. I typically respond by saying I’m about to leave or that I simply can’t spare the time at the moment.

I just had a call from this particular number. I (a bloke) picked up the phone, but after saying "hello" several times, the line went dead. I reckon they were probably expecting a woman to answer instead.

I got a rather suspicious phone call from this number. There was a lengthy silence, and then a rather dodgy chap with a thick accent addressed me as 'Madam.' He claimed there was a virus infecting my computer and urged me to turn it on. I firmly declined, stating I didn’t know him at all, and hung up. I've since reported the incident to the authorities in Kensington.

I recently received a phone call from this number. A woman with a bit of an accent claimed there was an issue with my TalkTalk account. I expressed my disbelief, and to my surprise, she abruptly ended the call. Quite the strange encounter if you ask me!

Received a call from someone claiming to represent TalkTalk, stating that my router was supposedly alerting them about a virus on my computer. I'm fully aware that legitimate representatives from TalkTalk do not reach out in this manner. The chap on the line, with a noticeable Indian accent, kept addressing me as 'madam', which I found rather peculiar!
