Phone rang but went straight to voicemail. Didn’t get any message.

Sounds like one of those survey scams to me. It was a lady with an Indian accent talking super quick. She said I could skip any questions if I didn’t want to answer. So I just kept saying, “I’m not gonna answer that” for each one. Eventually she said some nonsense and then just hung up.

They rang me and somehow she already knew my name. The woman on the other end spoke with an Asian accent, but she talked super fast. I kept asking her to slow down but she just ignored me and wouldn’t answer any of my questions. Eventually I gave up, hung up and blocked the number.

So a woman rang me earlier today and wanted me to confirm my full name. I said yes, and then she tried telling me which company she was from, but honestly I couldn’t catch what she said even after asking twice. Then she said she’d ask some questions I had to answer just with yes or no. I told her I was busy and didn’t have time. She kept pushing, but when I said no, she kept going on about what that meant. Eventually, I just ended the call.

Not really sure of his name, but a polite Asian guy called me and asked loads of questions. I just kept inventing every kind of insurance they might be calling about. Something similar happened to me, a lady rang asking me to verify my name, then suddenly claimed their system was offline and promised to ring back later. It’s all a trick so they can link names and numbers together (DEFinitely a SCAM). I ended up giving my name, feeling daft afterwards. If this number has a registered address, why don’t the coppers just go and bust them? Most scams end up being tied to mates of those in power, that’s the sad truth. Corruption in the UK at its worst.

It’s clear the UK government turns a blind eye when these companies pretend to be police or other officials. In real life, if someone tried impersonating a cop, they’d be nicked straight away - but that rule doesn’t seem to apply here because these businesses have ties to powerful folks. Their latest trick is running bogus competitions on ITV adverts, just like they once did on Challenge TV. A bit of digging into their CEO shows links to MPs and even some royal connections! Looks like Winnerlot has just changed their name and keeps carrying on.

I started getting calls a couple of days back from a woman who said her name was Amy. Her English wasn’t great and she kept telling me I owed some money and that I had to pay it straight away or they’d take legal steps. I got really irritated and just hung up because I know it’s a load of rubbish, I’ve never owed anyone a penny. People who try to scam others like this are disgusting, they ought to be locked up. Total SCAM!!
