Phone rang but went straight to voicemail. Didn’t get any message.

Sounds like one of those survey scams to me. It was a lady with an Indian accent talking super quick. She said I could skip any questions if I didn’t want to answer. So I just kept saying, “I’m not gonna answer that” for each one. Eventually she said some nonsense and then just hung up.

They rang me and somehow she already knew my name. The woman on the other end spoke with an Asian accent, but she talked super fast. I kept asking her to slow down but she just ignored me and wouldn’t answer any of my questions. Eventually I gave up, hung up and blocked the number.

Today, I received a rather peculiar phone call. A lady was on the other end, requesting that I verify both my first and last names. I obliged, only for her to inform me she represented some company whose name completely escaped me. I asked her to repeat it a couple of times, yet it was still rather muddled, I must say! Then she proceeded to say she was going to pose a few questions, and I was to respond exclusively with yes or no. I quickly realised I was far too occupied for this sort of thing and mentioned that I was busy. But she insisted, suggesting that if I replied negatively, then… well, I decided it best to simply hang up at that point.

Not really sure of his name, but a polite Asian guy called me and asked loads of questions. I just kept inventing every kind of insurance they might be calling about. Then he mentioned I needed to listen to an automated message, but the call ended suddenly. You could hear him cheering with his mates in the background like he’d won something.

I experienced something quite similar. A lady rang me up asking for my name, then claimed their system was on the fritz and promised to reach out again. It’s clearly a tactic to collate names and details with phone numbers (total scam), and I unwittingly confirmed my name like an absolute muppet! If there’s an address linked to this number, surely the authorities could step in and sort it out? But alas, they probably won’t, as it turns out many of these scams are allegedly linked to those in power! Truly, it feels like a prime example of corruption in this country.

If you were to impersonate a police officer, you'd find yourself in a heap of trouble, yet it appears these companies operate with impunity due to their connections with those in high places! Their latest trick involves promoting phoney competitions through ITV adverts, similar to their previous antics on Challenge TV. A bit of digging into the background of their CEO reveals ties to MPs and even members of the royal family! It’s quite the unsettling revelation about Winnerlot, which has since rebranded itself!

I started getting calls a couple of days back from a woman who said her name was Amy. Her English wasn’t great and she kept telling me I owed some money and that I had to pay it straight away or they’d take legal steps. I got really irritated and just hung up because I know it’s a load of rubbish, I’ve never owed anyone a penny. People who try to scam others like this are disgusting, they ought to be locked up.
