Got a call from someone claiming to be Sky TV - definitely wasn't. The lady sounded like she was from Africa and told me I had a free upgrade coming in a week. Somehow she knew my name and even the first couple digits of my bank’s sort code. Then she asked for my date of birth, how much I pay a month, and which bank my direct debit was with. She was rude and kept interrupting me whenever I asked why Sky wouldn’t already have that info. I said nothing except that she was a scammer. Tried ringing the number back and it was dead. Classic scam, don’t give them any details!

someone called claiming to be from sky, offering to upgrade my box. i agreed only if it was free, then she asked for my date of birth for some security check. i refused to give it out and she just ended the call straight away. definitely felt dodgy, so probably a scam.

I received a call claiming to be from Sky, informing me that they wished to replace my box with a newer model. I agreed, provided that it wouldn't incur any charges. However, when the lady requested my date of birth for verification, I refused, citing concerns about my personal security. At that point, she promptly hung up. It's quite evident this was a scam!
