Someone rang me claiming to be from O2 and mentioned something about my internet connection. I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call on my mobile from a number saying it was 'Chelmsford'. They just hung up straight away. Since I don’t know anyone around Chelmsford, I blocked it. Out of curiosity, I tried ringing it back from my landline and was amazed it went through. A robotic American voice answered with, "Welcome to the Energy department, press 1 to speak to an advisor." I hung up immediately. I checked another website that warns the number is dodgy. It never mentioned "Scottish and Southern Energy," so I'm pretty sure it’s either a scam or phishing attempt. Watch out - it’s dodgy!

They claimed to be from O2, so I played along and asked them to tell me my name. As expected, they couldn’t answer - total scam, no doubt about it!
