They kept going on about this appliance care plan we supposedly owe money for. I told them, pretty firmly, that we wouldn’t be handing over any cash. I reckon they’re after older people, considering they knew my partner’s name and we’re both retired. Feels like they’re trying to baffle folks by saying there’s an account in their name and they’re ‘liable’ for payment or something like that.2 yearsI picked up the phone since I was expecting a call from a different firm, and a man with a foreign accent introduced himself as Ash, wanting to talk to my husband. Since my husband wasn’t around, I asked what the call was regarding. He claimed he had been given password info to access my husband’s account. When I asked what account he meant, he said it was some kind of care plan for our TV. We don’t even have a television, so I told him to hang up before I said something rude he wouldn’t want to hear.
