I got a call from a woman with a northern accent, said she was from Cold Seal and asked for my mum's name, who unfortunately passed away over a decade ago. She claimed my windows needed replacing because they hadn’t been done in ten years. Weird thing was, earlier that day, another woman with nearly the same voice rang about loft insulation. I’ve blocked both now. Can't Ofcom or the cops do something about these numbers being used by scammers or telemarketers? It’s really annoying.

Each time they rang, they didn’t bother to identify themselves, which made it easy to reject the calls. Now, any legitimate caller-be it for personal matters, something important, or even a marketing pitch-would generally have the decency to introduce themselves or at the very least leave a voicemail. It's rather evident that this is either a scam or a dodgy cold caller trying their luck!
