I never pick up calls from unfamiliar numbers, and these guys didn’t bother leaving a voicemail either. I noticed they rang a few times on my phone, so I tried searching online for any details about the number before thinking about ringing back, but there was no info anywhere.

I picked up but no one said anything.

So, this number came up saying it was from Smiths, but they wouldn’t actually say how they got hold of it, just kept saying "my phonebook." Then they asked to talk to my mum, who’s been gone for over a decade now. When I pushed back and asked more questions, they just hung up. Reported it straight away for breaking TPS rules.
