Some bloke rang up saying he was from Amazon and needed me to pay straight away for some kind of service. He didn’t know anything about me, yet he got really rude when I struggled to follow his tech instructions on my phone. I’m not great with gadgets, and instead of helping, he started shouting at me to do stuff. He said they’d take £39.95 from my bank, but when I rang my bank, they told me no money had been taken and reckoned it was probably a scam.

He kept mentioning a charge of £39.95, claiming it’d be taken straight from my bank. I rang my bank to double-check and they said no money had gone out, so I reckon it was a dodgy scam.
